Thank you for choosing to give to the Children’s Global Health Program to support Camp Hope and Joy in La Romana, Dominican Republic. The camp is a youth development and wellness program operated since 2005 by the Clinica de Familia La Romana.
Camp Hope and Joy provides a summer camp for children and teens living with HIV in extreme poverty in the Eastern Dominican Republic. The camp’s mission is to strengthen the life skills of children and adolescents with HIV in a safe, supportive, loving, and fun environment, empowering them to face the psychosocial and medical challenges of their condition.
Your donation will go directly to summer camp operations. Participants engage in sports, art, theater, music, community, service, and life skills training. They also receive school supplies for the new school year at the end of camp.
Donations of any amount are welcome and greatly appreciated. If you have any questions about your donation or would like information about the Children’s Global Health Fund, please contact Beth Rosenthal, Managing Consultant, at childrensglobalhealthfund@gmail.com.
