DONOR TESTIMONIAL

“Clínica de Familia is an organization that I trust and feel connected to. I know that when I give to the clinic, my donation will directly benefit the clinic and its clients. With this in mind, I also encourage my family members to make donations each year.”

Dr. Kelsey Egan

I can vividly remember the excitement of everyone – the staff and client families, especially the kids in pediatric care – in the months leading up to annual events such as the holiday party and the summer camp for children living with HIV, which were truly the highlights of their year. I also remember the impact of the distribution of food packages for families of children experiencing food insecurity. I witnessed the heroic efforts of clinic staff both inside and outside the clinic’s walls providing critical support and resources to ensure the health of their clients.

INVEST IN OUR FUTURE

For over 25 years, Clínica de Familia La Romana has been a vital provider of affordable, high-quality healthcare services in the eastern Dominican Republic, serving over 40,000 clients annually. In response to growing demand, Clínica de Familia is launching a capital campaign, with the support of the Children’s Global Health Fund, to build a new outpatient health center on recently acquired land in La Romana’s fastest-growing area.

The new clinic building will enable service expansion to insured or self-pay clients who can subsidize the care of others in need, like clients with HIV and those from vulnerable populations, who account for more than half of Clínica de Familia´s overall budget. This will put Clínica de Familia on the path to becoming a self-sustaining organization and ultimately reduce its reliance on grants and donations.

The $7 million investment will fund the construction of a three-story, 50,000-square-foot building with an environmentally sustainable design located on a main thoroughfare in the fastest-growing part of La Romana. All large philanthropic gifts come with naming opportunities.

      • Build Higher | $2,000,000 will fund a floor of the new building
      • Expand Clinical Exam Rooms | $1,000,000 will fund the clinician exam room wing of the new building
      • Improve Pediatric Care | $500,000 will fund construction of the pediatric wing of the new building
      • Enhance HIV Testing Services | $500,000 will fund expansion of our onsite laboratory
      • Create Safe Play Areas | $50,000 will fund the play areas in and outside the clinic
